GRAND CENTRAL BAR

New Orleans Benefit

Hello Everybody,

The benefit planned to assist the Jones' and Montana families relocate is confirmed for Saturday Sept. 17th at Grand Central Bar in Williamsburgh, Brooklyn. Grand Central is located on Grand Street between Manhattan Ave. and Leonard St. We will be starting in the afternoon @ 2pm and are hoping to collect as much cash or items that can be turned into cash that day. Some people are donating art to be sold that day. Alot of the performers are donating their cd's as well as their performances. We have collected over 50 boxes of clothes already so we do not need any more clothing. Unless, it's something really cool that someone would buy that day.

We will be asking but not demanding a $5 cover at the door. The owner Jesse Alviero has agreed to buy each paying person their 1st drink. So many great musicians, dj's, artists, and cooks [listing to follow] are participating it should be an amazing getdown. We are trying to collect as much cash as possible to go directly to the two families. Checks can be directly made out to Henry Jones or Mojo Fine Art Movers. If you make a check to Mojo, please specify "Jones/Montana Benefit."

Almost every member of both extended families has lost their homes. Amu and Lisa Montana have six people from New Orleans in their Brooklyn home already. Henry Jones is taking care of his entire extended family while not having a home to do it from. These people have lost their homes, jobs, family members, friends, and access to their bank accounts. Right now they are in dire need of cash. This is a great opportunity to help someone directly. Both families have such deep New Orleans roots the spirits will surely be with us that day.

Please forward this to whoever you can. If you are or work for one of my clients please forward this to the boss, since I may not have time to call everyone. Bosses please contribute @ the event or via mail or Mojo workers. Here is a list of confirmed performers and cooks. Keep in mind there are still a few maybes and surprise guests.
