Hi All,

What an incredible show on Tues. at the C-NOTE ! It was a TUEWOODSDAY event at the best sounding room in the city. The place was packed and stayed that way ALL NITE! It started with the band HER. A nice tag-team trio of ladies (Monique, Agata and Tarah) with excellent harmonies. They did some acoustic shows that produced more energy than alot of plugged-in bands. On this nite they brought their whole band and WOW! They set the bar pretty high.

MAD JUANA leaped over it with the ease of a gazelle. Sami and his crew (Amalia, Xavier, and Tony) cruised with ease through a tight set that made us forget the rude treatment they received on the west side last week. Karmen's vocals led the tour thru their musical world and it was a smooth ride.

Then it was time for BRUCIFER's ACOUSTIC EXTRAVAGANZA-with his friends, enemies and surprises. BRUCIFER brought his friends Ched, Tommy and Steve as the band that served as the stadium, and the singers were his team. What a team! Starting with Purple Pam we were treated to over 2-1/2 hours of kickin' rock'n'roll - UNPLUGGED (more or less.) She was followed by Rachel, Metal Pam, Militia, Daphna and AMY LIN in tight order. Each one putting her own touch to a bunch of classics.

SOME GIRLS (a ROLLING STONE cover band) allowed BRUCIFER and the boys a well deserved cigarette/beer/relief break. It was comprised of an excellent cast of musicians (DONNA, KATHERINE, ALISON, PAIGE and PHIL). But the crowd wanted more, and BRUCIFER had more for them, but not yet.

Through it all, DJ extraordinaire, ROBERT LUND was filling in all the in-between spaces with his one-of-a-kind collection that never fails to provoke discussion amongst strangers.

The surprises continued with BRUCIFER jamming with friends Rob and Dirt (2 familar faces from the r'n'r community). But that's not what everyone came for.

BRUCIFER fixed that by bringing out Lisa and Cathy Cervenka, the return of Rachel, GEETA, SWEET AMI , and PAM G. Each of these ladies using their own individually unique approaches to rock'n'roll. Another local favorite Drew followed and it started to get out of hand at that point (in a good way) and a few more songs and we were left waiting for the next one.

BRUCIFER put together a serious EXTRAVAGANZA, as promised. The intimate setting of the C-NOTE made it more like a party of close friends then being at a bar. Here's hoping he does it again.

As anyone who's been to any of my shows knows, I tape as many of them as possible. So I have a backlog of tapes to make for every performer who requested one. That's another reason these articles have been short, and that will include this one. Hopefully I'll get caught up soon.

Combined with the shows I saw last week, it looks like people are starting to come out again. That's great to see, 'cause that's the only way NYC will be able to continue to be the best place to hear & see the most diverse music anywhere in the world. So keep going out and supporting your favorite live bands and venues, cause you can!

I am currently in the process of putting together a float for the MERMAID PARADE. But I'm gonna need a little help. So If there are any volunteers out there who want to join us in this insane effort let me know. What kind of volunteers? You tell me how you think will you can help .

Alot of people wrote back requesting info on getting pins made, so now the company's swamped. Be patient, they're going as fast as they can. They do great work, so it's worth the wait.
