Hi All,

First off I'd like to thank everyone who has been coming to all the different shows lately. The final show at RARE on Aug. 8th was off the hook. We closed out our tenure there with style (rock'n'roll - at its best), grace (no trouble or hassles) and class (BANANA FISH ZERO's last minute performance - IN DRAG!). You can see some of the fun on the photo page along with some other past shows .

The PUSSYCAT LOUNGE keeps getting better every week, and I have all of you to thank. The owner has made it a completely band & customer-friendly environment, and the bands, feeding off this groove, spread it thru the crowd.

Last week at the PUSSYCAT started with Guest DJ ROCKET (from the TOILET BOYS) warming up the crowd with some of the great rock'n'roll he's known for all over.

THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE and their brand of jazzy rock originals and covers, then took the stage. They had their classic FREE RAFFLE, that surprised the jaded NYC crowd. They then captivated the crowd with their version of "IRON MAN" and then completely won them over with the drum solo on their final song. They'll be back on SEPT. 6 for our first HOOTERNANNY ( a country/rockabilly version of BITCH nite) as the back-up band for the ladies. I'll have all the details next week.

Which led to THE SLAGS, who put in a tight rockin' set that left the crowd wanting more.

More is what they got when the EGGPLANT QUEENS (and their penguin) bounded onto the now crowded stage. Pumping up the crowd with some hard as nails rock and a real rock'n'roll moment when someone introduced a block of lard (a prize from the previously mentioned raffle). Enough said.

The last band had cancelled because of technical difficulties but the band HER (some friends who happen to live in the neighborhood) took up the flag and poured their all into their rap-influenced r&b style of rock.

The next nite at OTTO's was the usual relaxed sunday, with the SOUND OF MONDAY and their "Jablammo pop/rock".

F.P.TOZ then followed up their previous week's acoustic set with a fully plugged-in rock set.

The band in residence for this week and the next two were the Philly-based rockabilly band THE YOUNG WEREWOLVES, who had people up and movin' in no time. They also will be on the 9/6 show, along with the BLIND PHAROAHS.

This was followed by FWp: NYC UNPLUGGED - the core of NYC's best bands and TEMPTRESS's version of "STORYTELLERS" . You just know the stories were outrageous.

Then LANI FORD from STARK showed why she's one of the best singer/songwriters in NYC.

Now for the coming week.
