Hi All,

It's been a very busy and exciting holiday season. I would like to THANK everyone who came to the many shows that we had over the past few days. You guys made it all that much better by being there.

The show on "WOOD FRIDAY" at ARLENE GROCERY was packed and for good reason. BANANA FISH ZERO, FELICIA COLLINS AND THE LIFE, SMACK DARTS, DRAG CITIZEN, THE SEXY MAGAZINES, MAN IN GRAY and PETRO all rocked the house. Plus the added diversity of our very own Japanese belly-dancer JAMEELA made for a rockin good time,

Saturday nite marked the final performance of DIRTY LENIN with the current members. The show at the CUTTING ROOM was sold out and the band gave us everything they had. It was a fitting send off for a great band. We wish all the members well in their next endeavors. Don't worry, COSMO POLITAN (bassist for DIRTY LENIN) assured me they will be back with some new members.

Of course with MAD JUANA presiding at OTTO's on Sundays, it was another wild evening of r'n'r. They were followed by SAMI's fellow BLACKHEART, DOUGIE NEEDLES, who did a moving tribute to honor JOEY RAMONE, acoustically. We know Joey died on EASTER, even though it was a different date, but it's where it came from that counts. We all miss JOEY and DEE DEE and JOHNNY and... the list goes on and so must we. ROCK'n'ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!

In that spirit, it was a complete surprise when SYLVAIN SYLVAIN from the NEW YORK DOLLS jumped on stage (after the gentle prodding of yours truly, and a few shots) to join GASS WILD and his band THE OUTSIDERS. They cut the power to the stage after awhile because SYLVAIN didn't want to stop playing and we were all having too much fun for the BLOOMBERG patrols.

TUESDAY was another memorable one at the C-NOTE with QUEEN V playing an acoustic set that was riveting. She was followed by ACESEX - the ACoustic EStrogen Extravaganza (an acoustic version of BITCH NITE). T.J. JORDAN and RON RESIGNO from WOUNDED were the backing band and they turned in an excellent performance. From the unrehearsed improv jam they played while JAMEELA belly-danced, followed by 1 song each from PURPLE PAM, LA'SHELLE, and STEPHANIE WILLIAMS and 2 songs each from LISA McQUADE, MILITIA, JENNIFER JARACKAS and SWEET AMI it was outrageous. The next one will be on May 11 at the C-NOTE and will feature FELICIA COLLINS (from the DAVE LETTERMAN show) and the LIFE. Don't miss it!

Speaking of FELICIA COLLINS, she played a great set at a new venue (I may soon be promoting) called SUITE 16. This place has a nice little vibe to it, it even has bathroom attendants. Ooooh!

THE MERMAID PARADE is quickly approaching, and if you want to join us and BANANA FISH ZERO on the PUSSYCAT LOUNGE float, you should contact me a.s.a.p. It is going to be wilder than last year and the party will continue all nite at the PUSSYCAT LOUNGE with BANANA FISH ZERO headlining the evening.

I will once again be involved with the M.E.A.N.Y. fest this year. Click the link here or on the website home Page. Just check the Frank Wood submission and you get a $10 discount on the registration fee.
