Hi All,
Florida is like vacation all the time. We just got a 1200cc Yamaha Wave Runner. It's like a motorcycle on water, only scarier. I got it up to around 55mph and when you hit a wave, you are airborne. WOW! So after that I was busy putting up flyers because HONOR AMONG THIEVES will be here this weekend. Finally some serious rock'n'roll.
They'll be playing in Virginia on Thursday, North Carolina on Friday, Fort Lauderdale on Saturday; Sunday will find them in Orlando, then it's back to Southern Florida for shows on Monday & Tuesday in Miami Beach and Wednesday in Miami.
In the mean time, HULA POPPER and THE DISRUPTORS will be at GRAND CENTRAL this Thursday with Guest Host KAREN CURIOUS. She will be the guest host and booker every Thursday starting in September. Contact either her or me if you're interested in a gig. For those who don't know, KAREN had the hottest bands when she was booking at MEOW MIX and ARLENE's, so get ready to watch Brooklyn explode with kick-ass rock'n'roll.
On Sunday at OTTO's it'll be ZED NEVER, THE VAPOURS and DOG SHOW.
Next week I, FRANK WOOD, will return to NYC to host three shows and then return to play with the toys in Florida.
