Hi All,
Well we had another hurricane scare down here, but it was nothing. There was no bus service, therefore there was no work. There was a small blackout by my house (4-1/2 hours), but there was hardly any rain or wind. Now, after the last one, everyone is being overly cautious.
Last week we had a band come up lame by not showing at the last minute, but it was overcome by the strong line-up. PLAN A kicked ass! All the other bands pulled their weight also, so that opening band not showing was no loss (we didn't miss their 2 fans).
This week at GRAND CENTRAL BAR on Thursday, STEVE DALTON and his band THE CHOKE will headline another stellar line-up put together by MARY BETH. I think she's starting to get the hang of this booking thing (unlike some people, who watched and didn't learn anything over a 2-year period).
On Sunday this week we have BLACK FLAMINGO with BILLY FICA from TELEVISION on drums opening up the nite at 7 PM. Along with THE VIOLETS, ACID RAYZ, ZACK MILLER and others, it looks like KAREN CURIOUS will be hosting another kick-ass WIND DOWN SUNDAY at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD.
