Hey All,

Last week's shows were alot of fun.

Thursday at GRAND CENTRAL BAR was relaxed and turned out quite well considering 2 bands flaked out (one at the last minute). Everyone had a GREAT time — all the bands that did show stayed all night, so that made for a real cozy nite. This Thursday we have a full line-up led by NOPE. This band's new CD was produced by RICHARD LLOYD (TELEVISION). We also have the F-HOLES and the harp-led LADY ANNE and THE SUGAR DADDIES. FRANK HOIER and the band KADAFI lead off the night.

Last Saturday was packed at GRAND CENTRAL BAR, with the COLD HAND COLLECTIVE playing late into the night after the wild shenanigans of BONGO JONES, DOWN SHALLOW, ACCORDING TO WENDY, MATT KATZ and our visitors from OHIO - CRANKBOX! This Saturday there is a private party at GRAND CENTRAL so I'll be headed out to CONEY ISLAND for TYLER FYRE's annual CHRITMAS Debauchery. I can't wait.

At OTTO'S SHRUNKEN HEAD last week we celebrated KAREN CURIOUS' birthday with the debut of her band's new line-up, along with the debut of the HYPNO-TWISTS featuring JIMMY (MAD JUANA), NELL (OTTO's), Laura (former SHE WOLVES) and others.

This Sunday whether there is a transit strike or not you would be a fool to miss OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD's Christmas Party. The line-up is outrageous! With LENNY KAYE (NUGGETS, PATTI SMITH GROUP) RUSSEL BOOKER EXPERIENCE (with BILLY FICCA [TELEVISION] on drums), the LOVE PIRATES, NYC BLUES DEVILS, SPRINKLE GENIES, FRANKIE & HIS FINGERS, FLACK BLAMINGO (with BILLY FICCA - again), and the previously mentioned band from Texas NOPE. The NYC UNPLUGGED session later in the night will have KAREN CURIOUS (NEW PROFESSIONALS) and JOHN LAW (THE X's, BFZ). Not to mention the traditional late nite special Christmas edition of the "SOFA KING" WILDE JAM and DJ Extraordinaire BOBBY LUNDO!

I should be totally exhausted when I go into work on Monday, but it'll be worth it. Hope you come out and have some Holiday cheer with us.

As my good friend LACH (the king of anti-folk) likes to say:

HAPPY KWANNAHKAMAS!

Have a safe and happy holiday season.

Take care,

WOOD
