Hi ALL!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope you all had a GREAT and not too hung over New Year.

We finished off the year with a fantastic show at GRAND CENTRAL BAR. I'm looking forward to the upcoming year.

I would like to THANK EVERYONE from the bands to the club owners to the fans and everyone in between who made last year so much fun. We expanded down the coast to Florida and out west to California and the fans out there ate it up. There is nothing better than NYC Original Rock'n'Roll LIVE! THANKS again to everyone, especially MARY BETH who has helped out tremendously with bookings and phones and of course the one and only LUNDO for all his web assistance. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them.

I ended the year with 2 GREAT shows. On the 30th I went to see PATTI SMITH on her and LENNY KAYE's birthday at the BOWERY BALLROOM with the special added surprise of TOM VERLAINE sitting in with them. Wow, in 3 weeks I almost saw all of TELEVISION. It was another in a long line of unforgettable shows by some of the old masters.

Then on New Year's Eve, I went and rang in the New Year with the future stars of rock'n'roll - The SEX SLAVES at TRASH! The road has been good to the boys. They were sharp and highly entertaining, despite being way over the top! They are getting ready to go out on the road again, so see them while you can when they pass by your way,

This week at GRAND CENTRAL BAR we have LIKE SO, PURPLE OPERATOR and NEUTRAL GROUND. The sets will be a liitle longer than usual, so come on down and check these guys out. The beers are still $4 and under, but the BBQ will wait till the weather gets warmer.

Coming up on Sunday at Otto's Shrunken Head, we will be celebrating GASS WILDE's birthday with his band the LOVE PIRATES. They will be joined by BLONDE & BLUE, ACID RAYZ, HOME TO HENRY, The LIVING PROOF BAND and our band in residence for the month of January - BETTIE AFTER MIDNIGHT! These girls are getting revved up before I send them down south so come out and see what the rest of the East Coast will soon be raving about.

Oh well, now that I'm working a real job (up every morning at 6 AM, sometimes still up at 6 AM) I have cut back on wild nights out. That won't stop me, though, from continuing to bring the best LIVE Rock'n'Roll to as many as possible.

Hope to see you soon.

Take care,

WOOD
