Hey There,

The weather sure has been different lately. Not your normal frigid NYC winter. That'll probably change before we know it.

Starting on Feb. 24, FRANK WOOD presents will be booking a new club in the BUSHWICK section of BROOKLYN called THE BROOKLYN WRECK ROOM. It's located at 940 Flushing Ave., between Evergreen and Central Aves. It's a few blocks from the Morgan Ave. exit (on Harrison Pl.) of the L train and a few blocks from the Flushing Ave. stop (on Broadway) on the J-M-Z lines. This is a nice NEW place with 2 pool tables and a back room for the bands. In the future there will even be a kitchen serving some great food. Keep your eyes and ears open, we're gonna have some great shows there.

Last week at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD was another kick-ass night. BETTIE AFTER MIDNIGHT is winding down their residency and will be back this coming Sunday. BONGO JONES were astounding as were BLONDE & BLUE (who will also end their late nite residency this Sunday).

Also coming up this Sunday at Otto's is COUNTRY JOE. Wait till you see this band. He used to play with GLEN CAMPBELL and many others. He is truly a GREAT entertainer and you won't regret coming early. We will also have BEER WOLF, CENTER OF ZERO and EL JEFE vs DEMONS. BETTIE AFTER MIDNIGHT will close out their residency as well as BLONDE & BLUE. Plus there might be a surprise or two. Check my calendar on the website for the times.

I finally got a few days off from work and I'm using the time to find another Manhattan location for shows for Saturday nights. If anyone knows of someone who needs great shows, let me know and I'll put them in there.

There are also some new photos up on the photo page from the LENNY KAYE show on 1/15. Check them out. If anyone has any photos from any shows let me know and we'll put them up (THANKS LUNDO!)

In the meantime there are a lot of good bands out there, so go out and support them.

Hope to see ya soon.

Take care,

WOOD
