Hi All,

It was a wild weekend. The weather was great and the music was better.

On Friday at THE WRECK ROOM COUNTRY JOE & HIS OUTLAW BAND led off with some country/rockabilly tunes, which led to COURTNEY and her band FUTURE 86. They were as entertaining as usual. They were followed by THE EDEN PROJECT and it was obvious by the way they rocked why they are opening for TRACI GUNNS all over the country. The FRANTIC ROMANTIX finished off the night with some good NYC style punk rock.

Sunday was a crazed nite at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD. First off was Mr. McGREGOR and their countrified rocks set the mood. A last minute addition from Milwaukee, RED KNIFE LOTTERY was a breath of fresh air. The BAGHDADDIOS were next and they were followed by another version of BLACK FLAMINGO. No matter who Lisa has in the band, it's always entertaining. Then our band-in-residence, THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE took the stage as they have been doing all month, won over more fans and sold over $100 of merch.

Then Chuck's birthday really got going. First his rock band, ROOTS ROCK REBEL, played and then his traditional Greek band, MAGGES, played. Both bands had the crowd up and dancing. Maybe the Ouzo had a little hand in that, ya think?

LENNY KAYE was scheduled for next, but he had a family medical emergency. We all wish the best for LENNY and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

PRINCE HAL (BANANA FISH ZERO) then took the stage for 2 songs of his with some backing vocals from JOHN LAW (also BFZ). John then did 2 songs, after which Prince Hal joined him for 3 BANANA FISH SONGS that got the crowd crazy. THE NEW PROFESSIONALS (KAREN CURIOUS & AMALIA) then took the stage with some of the new songs off her upcoming CD. Then, from SUPERVILLAIN, MORGAN & FERNANDO did a couple of songs. It was a great night.

This Friday at the WRECK ROOM we will have THE LIVING PROOF BAND, the FRANTIC ROMANTIX, HOLLOW and LEWD BUDDHA, doing an extra long set.

On Sunday at OTTO's we will have COUNTRY JOE & HIS OUTLAW BAND, UZUHI - unplugged (which is going to be really wild), THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE, and the NEW YORK NO STARS.

Hope to see you there.

Take care,

WOOD
