Hi All,

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did over the weekend. Wiyh shows of my own and others, it was quite fulfilling.

Friday night at the WRECK ROOM started with MAVEN and led into HOME TO HENRY. ALEN CANOPY was next and they brought along some audio activated lights that they let all the bands use, which made the atmosphere better than it already is, if that's possible. The FRANTIC ROMANTIX finished of their residency and they finished off with a bang. Then LOVE,ETC. who really packed the place, turned in an awesome show to lead into UGLY FRIEND who rocked out the night. DJ ROBERT LUND kept everyone entralled as usual playing some of the best and most eclectic rock and other things.

On Sunday at OTTO's the AMERICAN GRAVEYARD DANCE started the night and didn't get lost finding the club. BAD TEENAGE MOUSTACHE had to cancel due to illness at the last minute, but other memebrs of GOD - THE BAND filled in with their band BEN WARREN and the FLESH LITES. BEN DAYHO played guitar and MUGWUMP was on bass with JOHNNY ONAMONAPEIA ( I think I spelled that wrong) were really funny. PROGRESSIVE DEMENTIA were next and kept up the funny, ZAPPA style insanity. There was an internet TV show filming most of the nite. I forget what station, but they were brought to us by CHRISTA, lead singer of RIPE. The host was a guy named Jake and I had fun messing with him. He wasn't too sharp on rock'n'roll and I asked him who he blew to get the job as host. They'll probably edit that out. BONGO JONES brought the crowd to their feet dancing leading into THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE, who were astounding as always. The NY NO STARS continued with their late nite residency and they keep getting better, if it's possible. They said that following THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE really makes them play harder because they're a tough act to follow. Lead singer MEG has a GREAT voice and she's also one of the hottest looking women in rock. Not only that but she has alot of gorgeous female friends who come to see her shows and some of them are also singers. It looks like I'm gonna have some new bands to book. DEEP INTENT followed nad were quite good leading into THE "SOFA KING" WILDE JAM where on of the aforementioned singers joined KEN ROWELL for a bunch of songs.

This week marks the return to NYC of HAGUS MAGAGUS from Florida. These kids are remarkable and you should see them as often as possible. They don't play the same songs every show, so each one is different. They start Thursday at TRASH, Fri, at WRECK ROOM, Sat at CONTINENTAL and Sun at OTTO's.

Speaking of the WRECK ROOM, this week will be a JAZZ & BLUES flavored nite with DA PHAT FUNK CLIQUE, HAGUS MAGAGUS, THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE< THE FISHERMAN and the NYC BLUES DEVILS. Come out for a wildly relaxing and musically enticing evening.

On Sunday at OTTO's we'll start with COLD FLAVOR REPAIR and CATSPAW leading in to the return of THE HOT ROSES. That's LULU(6years old) & ZELDA(18 months) ADAMS being backed up by their father JOHHNY LAW from THE X's and BFZ. Then we'll have the insanity of Crazy Pam and her band THE SWIGS followed by THE RUSSELL BOOKER EXPERINCE with BILLY FICCA from TELEVISION on drums. Then it'll be killer time with HAGUS MAGAGUS, THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE and the NY NO STARS. It's gonna be a wild nite.

Hope to see ya soon.

Take care,

WOOD
