Hi All,

Friday nite at THE WRECK ROOM was one of the best musicians nite of music I've been involved with in awhile. All of the bands hung around and were impressed with each other's work. From The PHAT FUNK CLIQUE to HAGUS MAGAGUS thru THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE, The NYC BLUES DEVILS (who did an unplugged set) to the capping off of the evening by THE FISHERMAN> It was a rewally GREAT nite of music.

On Sunday we started with the LA style rock of COLD FLAVOR REPAIR and led into CATSPAW. The HOT ROSES cancelled (LULU "wasn't feeling it"; Damn, she's only 7, she's gonna be hell to deal with when she's 21!) . The SWIGS packed the room and The RUSSELL BOOKER EXPERIENCE held them there for HAGUS MAGAGUS, who finished up their 6 show tri-state tour before headed back to Miami. Those boys were UNBELIEVABLE. They did an instrumental version of "DEAR PRUDENCE" that mesmorized the house. The UNPRONOUNCEABLE capped off their residency with another superb set and I can't wait to have them back. The NY NO STARS had to cancel because JIMI BONES (guitarist) had to have an emergency hernia operation. He's getting better and I hear he'll be ready for this Sunday's show. KENN ROWELL (BAGHDADDIOS) finished off the nite and everyone hung around til way past closing.

This week at THE WRECK ROOM we have EMBEE's Birthday party. That's Mary Beth, who held down the fort with Kenn when I had to alter things after someone, who will remain an asshole and unmentioned here, almost destroyed everything while I was away. We will have THE BAGHDADDIOS, BONGO JONES, special guests from Boston - LOVEWHIP and the asshole's old band (yeah, hefucked them over, too) F.P.TOZ. She's the person responsible for alot of the new bands that were found while I was away, so I expect alot of people to be coming byto show her their appreciation for helping them out. The place should be packed!

On Sunday we will havethereturn of SPAGHETTI EASTERN MUSIC featuring Sal Cataldi and then JYNX, from BOMBSHELL, playing mostly BOMBSHELL songs on her keyboard. This'll give you a chance to really appreciate what a really good songwriter she is. BONGO JONES will also be there nad LOVEWHIP will finish up their weekend in NY. In between our band-in-residence for the month of May - THE CREAMSICLES will be in the house.

I've been told that no little hernia operation is going to stop JIMI BONES from playing with the NY NO STARS and then Kenn Rowell will finish up the nite with a few surprises.

On Friday at 10:30am (I know it's early, but if you're not at work you should head over to City Hall and let your voice be heard to stop an new anti-bar/club law they're trying pass. Listen up, if we don't stop them, they'll have us living in Kansas on the Hudson before you know it. They already stopped smoking in bars and they're trying to close bars early, so get out there and let them know that we like living in NYC - THE WAY IT IS! Quit trying to change a GREAT city. If you don't like it MOVE THE FUCK AWAY! Stop trying to change a good thing.
