Hi All,

Another week comes and goes and we keep rocking along.

Went to see THE NEW PROFESSIONALS and GSX at FONTANA's over in Chinatown. Both bands were fantastic and FONTANA's is a really cool venue. You should go check it out while ou can.

Friday's show at the WRECK ROOM was alot of fun as it was EMBEE (Mary Beth)'s birthday celebration. Alot of people came out to help her celebrate her__ birthday. The BAGHDADDIOS led off the night leading into BONGO JONES, LOVEWHIP and the return of F.P. TOZ, without the asshole on lead guitar. FUZZY did a real good job of taking up the slack. Whereas he's not as good a guitar player as the asshole, well, he isn't an asshole, he more than held his own.

Sunday night there was a guest host at OTTO's, Kenn Rowell from the BAGHDADDIOS, and from all reports, he did a hellova job filling in. SPAGHETTI EASTAERN MUSIC brought his kids and his 7 year old daughter joined him on a song she wrote. JYNNX from BOMBSHELL did another great set letting people appreciate what a good songwriter she is. BONGO JONES was there usual stellar selves and this time they didn't leave anything behind when they left. The CREAMSICLES had to call in sick but their leader, JOHN SULLY, still showed up and hung with their fans who showed up and drank and had a great time. LOVEWHIP finished off there mini-tour of NYC before heading back to Boston. The NY NO STARS were astounding, according to bartender PAM the METAL QUEEN, even with JIMMY BONES recovering from an emergency hernia operation less than 10 days prior to the show.

On Sunday I was at the PRINCE HAL BACHELOR party at the CONTINENTAL. JOHN LAW and myself hosted the event with 14 of the best bands around with THE X's, THE BULLYS, SUPERVILLAIN, SLUNT, HONOR AMONG THIEVES, The VELMAS, STARK, the SPRINKLE GENIES, LOAFASS, SHOVELHEAD, METAL JOHN. POP MAFIA, REBEL PAWN ALLIANCE and CATEGORY 6 all leading up to the grand finale of THE PRINCE & THE LAW with the drummer from the VELMAS doing a more than adequate job filling in for a GREAT performance of some of our favorite BANANA FISH ZERO songs. Every band did at least one BFZ cover and it was a KICK-ASS night. You can read about it in this month's issue of THE NY WASTE the best munderground punk newspaper in NYC. It will also be posted on my website soon.

Also coming to my website soon will be a clip from the VICKERS GRINGO movie "SON OF EYEBALL MAN" where I am the voice of the evil lead character "EYEBALL MAN". This movie is going to England to be part of the RAINDANCE MOVIE Festival.

I'm in the process of trying to do some shows at CONEY ISLAND this summer, so stay tuned for some more GREAT shows to come.

This week on Friday at the WRECK ROOM will have LACH & THE SECRETS, THE HELLFIRE BOYS CLUB, HOLLIS, KADAFI and a surprise guest band.

Sunday is MOTHER's DAY and being a bunch of Mothers we will be partying at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD with COUNTRY JOE & HIS OUTLAW BAND, M. DAVID HORNBUCKLE (from the M-WORD), DONATHEN, THE CREAMSICLES, THE BAGHDADDIOS and the monthly return of MAGGES our traditional Greek band with special guest bellydancer - JAMEELA! So after a rough day of hanging with the relatives come out and enjoy some good old rock'n'roll and some OUZO inspired Greek craziness.

See ya around town.

Take care,

WOOD
