Hi All,

WOW! It's summer already and I need a/c bad!

Despite the heat the city was rockin'. On Friday at THE WRECK ROOM we started off with DEEP INTENT which led to PETRO and T.J. JORDAN. These guys had some new songs and were kickin'. The a/c wasn't working and it was already getting hot in there. Then, from San Francisco, came TRENT BERRY and his band AMANDA's EX. Trent is an amazing guitar player who mesmorized the crowd. Now the place was sweating a little more. Then we punked it up with FLIGHT 909, YO! SCUNT, HECTOR and THE FUX. They were all high energy punk rock the way it's supposed to be. To get some of the crowd into the back room, ROMAN, of THE FUX, lit his guitar on fire and walked over to the bar and placed the flaming guitar on the bar! That brought more people into the back room and at least woke up the other ones. By this point it was so hot in there it was like a sauna. I heard they fixed the a/c over the weekend.

On Sunday at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD, JAKHAMR HYPOCRYT led off the night with some loud, hard rock. Then UZUHI did their unplugged set and the room was packed all the way out to the girl's bathroom. The HELLFIRE BOYS CLUB took over for a slamdancing crowd of maniacs. Thank GOD the a/c because these guys built up a serious sweat. Then AMANDA's EX finished off their weekend tour of NYC (they played to a full house at CONTINENTAL on Sat.) with another scorching set that the crowd demanded an encore. The CREAMSICLES finished off their residency to another packed room of more dancing rockers.

Then NYC UNPLUGGED began with THE NYC BLUES DEVILS doing an unplugged set. It was just Danny, Randy & the Doctor but it still had that flowing jazzy groove. ACID RAYZ made their return to OTTO's with some new songs and same fiery intensity as usual. Ken Rowell (BAGHDADDIOS) then led THE "SOFA KING" WILDE JAM accompanied by Susan Mitchell (ACID RAYZ) on violin and PHIL McGAUGH (F.P.TOZ) on bass. Over all the place was jumping all nite with a few celebrity rockers in view for a relaxing Sun. nite.

This week at the WRECK ROOM will see JONESTOWN come to Brooklyn along with LEADFOOT (N. Carolina), BONGO JONES, BROTHER EARTH and ACID RAYZ.

On Sunday at OTTO's it'll be ALIEN CANOPY opening up and leading to UNDERSEA EXPLOSION, & more LEADFOOT (N.C.). Then PROGRESSIVE DEMENTIA and their FRANK ZAPPA style will start of their band-in-residence for the month of JUNE, promising a different set each week. You won't want to miss any of them because this band is seriously talented and demented. Then EVIL BEAVER is in town from L.A. and THR NY NO STARS will be back. KAREN CURIOUS will be there for an unplugged set and then we'll end with anothe "SOFA KING" WILDE JAM!

DON'T FORGET, next week on 6/6/6 there will be a special show at CONTINENTAL featuring: BULLCOCK, NY STORY, METAL JOHN. HONOR AMONG THIEVES, SUPERVILLAIN and ACID RAYZ. This should be one of the best Tuesdays ever at CONTINENTAL according to TRIGGER, and it's a "FRANK WOOD presents:" show.

Also coming in JULY I will be doing some shows on the boardwalk at CONEY ISLAND. More to come on that later.
