Hi All,

So 6/6/6 has passed and the Apocalypse hasn't begun, or has it?

No matter to me, I will continue to book shows, come HELL or high water.

Speaking of high water, we had alot of it at the WRECK ROOM last Friday nite. The back room was flooded because of all the heavy rain, but the show must go on. After trying to mop it up (it wasn't going anywhere after 5 full buckets) I found a wet/vac. That only lasted for 2 and 1/2 buckets before it blew up! The middle room had a little flooding also, so I just moved the couches/car seats from the front room to the back and moved the show right up next to the pool tables. The show turned out real good. To open the night JONESTOWN rocked it. (They also tried to help with the mopping!) Then the boys from North Carolina, LEADFOOT, came and blew the roof off the place. BONGO JONES was next and kept the place junping (they also brought more kitty litter for the floor) and BROTHER EARTH put their groove on the crowd. ACID RAYZ finished off the night as they prepared some new songs for their show at CONTINENTAL on 6/6/6.

Sunday night at OTTO's was another solid night of rock, starting with ALIEN CANOPY leading into UNDERSEA EXPLOSION who were getting ready for their show next week at North by Northeast in Canada. Then LEADFOOT completed their mini tour of NYC with another solid performance that won over more die-hard nyc fans. PROGRESSIVE DEMENTIA started off their residency with an 80's themed night, playing some 80's covers and then restructuring some of their songs in an 80's style. This band is ASTOUNDING and wickedly funny. You have 3 more weeks to catch their insanity and they promise a different theme every week. EVIL BEAVER was in from L.A. and Evie, their leader, played a bass guitar thru both the guitar and the bass amps and with just a drummer, the two of them rocked! The NY NO STARS were back and did an acoustic set while they waited for their drummer to arrive and then did an electric set. Kenn Rowell (BAGHDADDIOS) finished of the night with a solo set. He's also headed for North by Northeast and is playing a show with TEMPTRESS in Cananda next week.

Tuesday was 6/6/6, a HELL of a nite of rock at CONTINENTAL. BULL COCK opened the show with their 7' tall Devil-clad bass player followed by NY STORY. both bands were awesome and they were followed by METAL JOHN and a 20 minute and 33 second composition especially written for this night. HONOR AMONG THIEVES were next and their new singer has brought the band up a couple of notches. SUPERVILLAIN was next and they were SUPER! Morgan helped me with the booking of the night. Then it was time for the SHEWOLVES. They came out blazing then brought up PAM the METAL QUEEN to sing a few songs. On "WAR PIGS" Tony Mann was UNBELIEVEABLE on drums! I mean he was really good all night, but on an old standard like that he was more than on top of it. Then the SHEWOLVES called uo DIRTY DICK (from DIRTY DICK) and Alex Skelnick (fromm TESTAMENT). They did a great version of DIRTY DICK's "FUCK YOU!" ACID RAYZ capped of a Satanic night of beauty.

This week on Friday at the WRECK ROOM we have THE HILLS, DEEP INTENT, DOWNSHALLOW and COLD HAND COLLECTIVE.

On Sunday at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD we're starting a little earlier at 5:30pm withDIANE BRAMER & KENYA MITCHELL followed by DOGSHOW, M. DAVID HORNBUCKLE, HOME TO HENRY, PROGRESSIVE DEMENTIA (this week's theme - the 70's), RIVERCAT 9cd release party and his birthday) NYC BLUES DEVILS, HUDSON DUSTERS and Rob Haney.

See ya around,
