Hi All,

Last Friday at CONTINENTAL was the non-CD release party for THE X's. That's because they didn't get the CD's from the printers on time. The show was KICK-ASS anyway. BURNING WAGON (new name for BURNING DA BUSH) started off the nite with some old fashioned rock'n'roll. HOME TO HENRY had their CD's, so their part of the CD release party went well. FREEDUMB BOMB brought a nice crowd and rocked the place. BORN/RAISED kept the crowd going, the THE X's took the stage. They keep getting tighter and tighter, these guys are ready to explode. The DIVIDE was next with their own sound system which led to OUR AFTER who were good, only not in the style of the rest of the evening.

On Sunday at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD, DEEP INTENT started the night with a big crowd as their brand of r&b was on time. Suburban Lockdown never showed, or called or e-mailed. Some people are just born RUDE and INCONSIDERATE. They bust chops and beg for help. Because they are friends of friends, I help and this is what I get. SCREW 'EM! BURNING WAGON was more than happy to play longer as part of their mini-nyc tour. They were real good. The NYC BLUES DEVILS came in dressed informally but still blew the crowd away. GIRL TO GORILLA, our band-in-residence for the month of July, were solid rock'n'roll, the way it's supposed to be done. Then we had PARANOID LARRY & HIS IMAGINARY BAND< I LOVED those guys. Larry look like Charles Manson and his first song about "YOU CAN'T SEARCH ME" as far as the subways go, gives you an idea of the insanity that was to follow. They'll be back on a once monthly basis. The boys and girls from BOOTS & BRACELETS were there ALL NIGHT LONG. They were here as part of a tour from ILLINOIS and they knew how to PUNK ROCK! They said they had a great time and they can't wait to come back. BLONDE & BLUE were next and their version of Johhny Thunders' "Can't Put Ypour Arms Around A Memory" was a show stopper as always. We endend with ROB HANEY, KENN ROWELL and SUSAN MITCHELL in THE "SOFA KING" WILDE JAM. Then we closed early (2:30am?) and went to MOTOR CITY BAR for it's 10th anniversary party.

This week THE BULLYS are having their CD release party on Saturday at CONTINENTAL along with THE BLACKOUT SHOPPERS, LOAFASS and much more. Check it out.

On Sunday at OTTO's we have another fantastic show with SPAGHETTI EASTERN MUSIC leading off the night intoKADAFI, HUGHVANNA, PSYCHO 77, GIRL TO GORILLA, THEY HATE US, PROGRESSIVE DEMENTIA, F.P. TOZ-unplugged, KATSUNORI and THE "SOFA KING" WILDE JAM.

Next week on Friday July 21 I will be presenting: SEA MONSTER at CHA-CHA's on the Boardwalk at CONEY ISLAND. Be ready!

Hope to see ya soon,
