Hey All,

I've got new pics up on the photo page. There are some nice shots of LOVE ETC. from 7/2 at OTTO's. Some GREAT shots from 7/23 at OTTO's including WILD BILL THOMPSON jamming with VIVA LA VENUS and also with BLONDE & BLUE plus shots of everyone else who played that nite (except for THE BAGHDADDIOS - sorry boys, I screwed up). Then there are some shots of THE X's and SEX SLAVES at the CANAL ROOM on 7/24.

Last friday was my first show of the year at BOOGALOO and it went off nicely. HOME TO HENRY opened the night with some solid rock'nroll and were followed by the sophisticated FUNK of DA PHAT FUNK CLIQUE. The crowd couldn't help but get up and dance to this group. They were followed by the funny theatricality of BEN WARREN & HIS FLESHLIGHTS. These former members of GOD-the Band had the place rolling over in laughter. Finally THE BAGHDADDIOS finished off the night with a kick ass set of rock that had everyone bouncing around. Next show here will be on Sept. 1st.

On Sunday it was another fun nite at OTTO's with DIATHOREN leading off with some dark, heavy rock. M. DAVID HORNBUCKLE followed with his banjo/ukelele hybrid and great songs. THE NURBS came up from Baltimore and astounded the crowd with their high held guitar playing. FRANKIE & HIS FINGERS started off their month long residencey with an awesome set that led to the LOUD rock of NY STORY> F.P. TOZ were next and continue to impress with their resurrection. BLONDE & BLUE followed and were joined by WILD BILL THOMPSON on guitar for a song and ACID RAYZ closed out the night and broke a guitar in the process. It was a real fun night.

This Friday I will be putting on my LAST show at CONTINENTAL before they close for live music in Sept. We're gonna miss this place when it's gone so come out and check out this night I have planned. Despite one band who backed out because of ego (and self-confidence) problems last week(I replaced them with PSYCHO 77) and another band that FLAKED out on the day before the show ( I will be replacing them with a MAJOR surprise band)it will still rock with SCARLET X, BLACK CAT ELLIOT, METAL JOHN and DIRTY DICK rounding out the night.

Sunday we'll be winding down as usual at OTTO's withTHE PHOSPHATES, ALICIA LEVY (returning from San Fran for a few shows), SAKURA MADAMS (featuring YUKINO from ANIMALLINK), FRANKIE & HIS FINGERS (band-in-residence for August), JAKHAMR HYPOCRYT, EYE C SNAKES, KATSUNORI (from Japan), SIMON RYMAAAAAAN (from SWEDEN) and a special appearance by CHET BEEFALO (from THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE). That should be another fine Sunday nite.

Don't forget to support your favorite local bands and clubs because if you don't, there won't be any more clubs to see them at!
