What's Good - By Frank Wood

Well, Saturday night in NYC and things are almost back to what passes for normal here.
I started out at Moe's Carribean (76st & 2ave) They were supposed to have a party but they scaled it back a little, I went for the food, Phllip, G.D., and Randy were all there and they expressed all the feelings we're all feeling but they agreed we gotta keep going. Let me say that all, yes ALL of the people I've come in contact wish us all a speedy and rapid recovery, so I won't mention it anymore.
The popcorn shrimp at Moe's was almost as good as the coconut shrimp, and Lauren our waitress made everything delightful., after a few more snacks and brews I went next door to Iggy's, they were also packed,so after a brew it was down to Arlene's Grocery (95 stanton st.,nyc) for a benefit for the firemen who have been super thru all of it. Then if was off to the Motor City Bar (127 Ludlow st.,nyc), Noogie was spinnin' with help from the Helsinki Hellcats (Jonna and Kaisler), even Harry the bartender spun a few tracks. He's in a new band with another former Mad Juana alumni, Wylie and they told me they'll be ready soon. Also ran into dj Jack and along with dj Pat Pervert will be at the Motor City Bar on fri. September 21st.

As for this weeks picks, things are subject to change, so keep checking in and I'll try to stay up to date.
