What's Good - By Frank Wood
It's monday nite and I'm in MO'S CARRIBEAN (76st & 2nd Avenue) for lobster nite and I trying to cut down so I left after the 5th one and went down to the 10th anniversary party for DOWN THE HATCH (West 4St, between 6th and 7th Avenue). It was a wild party and the place was packed, so after 5 or 6 celebratory toasts it was off to the LUNA LOUNGE (Ludlow St, between Houston & Stanton Sts) where Harry and Laura were tending bar. We were joined by the HELSINKI HELLCATS, and there being a full moon, 'nough said. Then it was over to, you guessed, MOTOR CITY BAR. PAT PERVERT, JACK, and JULIE were spinnin', so it was quite invigorating.

THE NERVE! were at CONTINENTAL (3rd Avenue and St. Marks Place) and they took the stage modeling their new THE NERVE! underwear and rocked the house out. Then it was over to the C-NOTE (Avenue C and 10th Street) to see GRANDFATHER RIDICULOUS and their brand of jazz/hip-hop that had the full house on their feet. Changing stide brought us to THE SIDEWALK (6th Street and Avenue A) to re-experience GOD-THE BAND. These guys are hillarious, in their tuxes and wild lyrics, they were a great contrast to the earlier shows. It was opening nite for Stemway.com at the ORCHARD LOUNGE AND GRILLE (Orchard&Houston sts) for CURTIS DEAN & JAMES T. and their mello jazz and blues standards. We capped the nite at MOTOR CITY where ELISE was D.J'ing and the city is back and moving ahead.
