BILL POPP's FINAL FLUSH

BILL POPP and his band, BILL POPP & THE TAPES have been playing around in NYC for over 35 Years!

BILL has even played in Japan and China and other places around the world!

The reason he was able to do that was because he had a day job! He worked for the NYC PARKS DEPT.! You might have seen a pic of him in the DAILY NEWS, when he was removing the toilets from SHEA STADIUM before they tore it down!

He did it for 27 YEARS! September 30th was his Last Day on the job and on October 1st he was OFFICIALLY RETIRED!

He decided to go out with a BLAST and had a Party at LAKESIDE LOUNGE that night!

And what a Party it was! OPEN BAR, TOO MUCH FOOD and some GREAT ROCK'n'ROLL! What a way to go out!

His band, BILL POPP & THE TAPES, started off the night and were as tight as always! MARY was excellent on the Bass as ROGER stomped on the drums and GERRY did his guitar work! Of course BILL was up front singing and on the Keys! They played a Solid and FUN set!

Then SEA MONSTER took the stage! ARTHUR STEVENSON led the way with Two of the Best Guitarists in NYC Rock'n'Roll - MIKE ROCK and FRED WAGNER! ADOLPH MARCELLINO laid down the Bass and new drummer CHRIS CANDIDA held down the beat! These guys have been ROCKIN's for over 35 Years themselves and usually play BILL's Annual HEART ASSOCIATION Fundraiser! They Blew the Roof off the place! (They always do!)

The BOWERY BOYS closed out the night with JOFF WILSON on guitar, DAVE McGAULEY on bass and new drummer MICK OAKLEAF playing a GREAT collection of songs that kept everyone happy!

There was so much food that BILL ended up taking what was left over to the homeless shelter!

Now BILL is ready to enjoy his retirement and Rock out more than ever!

CONGRATULATIONS, BILL!
